Parent teacher interviews

HSPA Secondary Parent Teacher Interviews (PTIs) are conducted both onsite and online.

This is to cater for our large drawing area. We understand that it can be difficult for families who live a distance from the school to attend onsite.

Email communication is sent close to PTI dates, to notify parents when they can commence booking. Our community traditionally books very early, so it is recommended that you book early to ensure maximum flexibility & availability of times.

Visit the HSPA Sentral to book interview times with applicable teachers. This can also be completed using the Sentral Portal App.

Instructions for booking interviews

Onsite interviews

Onsite interviews are booked via the Sentral Portal. These are held in the HSPA Hall. We ask that parents are mindful to adhere to their alloted time slots, to ensure that other families are not disadvantaged.

Yr 7 to 12 - ONSITE PTIs

• Date & Time - can be found in your emails or in our public calendar
• Location - Onsite @ HSPA Hall. Entry via Cameron Street gates (theatre). No onsite parking.

Online interviews

Are also booked via the Sentral Portal. These are via Google Meet. Detailed instructions on how to access these are below. We ask that parents are mindful to adhere to their allotted time slots, to ensure that other families are not disadvantaged.

Yr 7 to 11 - ONLINE PTIs

• Date & Time - can be found in your emails or in our public calendar
• Location - Google Meet (online).
• Use the links below to join your meeting at the scheduled time.

Prior to your online interview:

1. Create a Google account if you don’t have one (this is free), ensure your username contains your surname to make it easy for teachers to identify you. You may not be admitted into an interview if your username does not easily identify you. Once logged in, you can join the meeting via the Google Meet website.
2. For official HSPA Parent Teacher Online Interviews - Go to  HSPA Sentral  to book interview times with applicable teachers. This can also be completed using the new Sentral Portal App.  Sentral Parent Portal instructions for booking interviews are here, if required.
3. Go to the Staff Google Meet Link Directory below to find links to all teachers. These same links will work anytime you’d like to have a video conference meeting with a teacher.
4. We recommend you right button click on the teacher's name to 'copy link address', then paste the links for all applicable teachers in a separate document. This will speed up the process of switching between interviews on the PTI evening.

During your online interview:

• Please ensure you have access to a device with a camera and microphone
• Please choose a quiet, well-lit environment for the interviews
• Please adhere to the 5-minute time limit, during official parent/teacher interviews
• Make sure you are logged into google on your browser and open your list of links to teacher's meetings
• Click on the links for the appropriate teacher at each scheduled time
• Please exit and enter meetings promptly

If you would like to meet with Senior Executive or Careers Adviser, please use their Google Meet links. As there are no appointment bookings for these staff, you may have to wait to enter these meetings or email them in advance.

Click on the staff member name below before your interview or copy the link into your own list by right clicking and selecting 'Copy link address' and pasting it into your document.
