Today we are excited to launch our new school website. We have been working on this for some months and look forward to it being a greater method of communication as well as a great promotional tool for our school.
Our new website is fresh, modern and captures the spirit and energy of our school. As with all major changes there will be some issues bedding the new system down, but we are committed to fixing issues as soon as humanly possible.
Our new site features much better accessibility features, such as higher resolution, clearer fonts, alt-text for images and captions for videos, as well as much better display on mobile devices.
With a click of one button the entire website can be translated into one of 90 languages. Part of the whole redesign involved a review of our current communication channels - in particular our school newsletter.
We have decided to stop producing a standalone secondary newsletter as the readership is not large. This newsletter was published 2-3 times per term, with the time and effort to produce it considerable.
Our new Website and Facebook page are better places for News and the Schoolbag app is ideal for reminders. We are setting up a page on our site for community notices and advertising.
We have also decided to move our public calendar from Skoolbag to Sentral and make it available via our website. There will be two public calendars, one for Primary and one for Secondary.
