Amelia Samson Speaks Powerfully

Amelia Samson (Year 11) represented HSPA very well last week when she spoke impressively at the memorial service at the annual Merchant Mariners Memorial Service at the Mission To Seafarers in Wickham.

In her speech, Amelia powerfully suggested that whenever we sing “girt by sea” in the national anthem, that we not only remember the fact that Australia is surrounded by sea, but that we also remember the mariners who have served and died to protect our country.
