Sharp Short Theatre Finals

"Our wonderfully talented and hard working Yr 11 Sharp Short Drama Ensemble had another successful Sharp Short Final at Riverside Theatre Parramatta on Friday night.

For the 5th consecutive year we have had at least two plays in the final and taken out at least three of the 5 major awards. This year ‘Cemetery For Trees’, written/directed by Jessica Nader and starring Jessica and Hugo Hay took out the top two prizes; Best Script and Best Production.

We have won these two categories in 4 of the past 5 years.

Lily Dougherty won the Best Female Performer Award for her outstanding performance in the role of the mother in ‘woMAN’, written and directed by Larissa Barwell, also starring James Hilton, Sofie Dennis and Alice Hollitt.

A special mention should also go to Aiden Clarke and Ella Thursby who were exceptionalMC’s on the night .

All these students were exceptional ambassadors for the school, not just on stage but also offstage with the professional, modest, polite and friendly demeanour with which they presented themselves. It has been an absolute privilege and pleasure working with these students"

Email from Mr O'Callaghan to Ms Gray after Friday nights outstanding results.

These are quite remarkable achievements, and experiences our students will remember for the rest of their lives.
