Financial Literacy Booklet featuring stories and award winners!

In 2018 I had the privilege of travelling around the world as the winner of the Premier’s First State Super Financial Literacy Scholarship.

My research topic was: How do other countries celebrate Global Money Week and how can these ideas be applied in Australia?

I travelled to the Netherlands for the launch of Global Money Week, where I met Global Money Week ambassador Queen Maxima, and then on to Spain, Italy, Canada and finally the United States.

One of the many, many creative ideas that resonated with me was the publication of student stories in a book to the school or wider community. And therein the concept of this book was conceived.

Hunter School of the Performing Arts is a creative and innovative place of learning. The following stories are submissions from students in answer to the question:

What is the smartest thing you or someone you know, has done with their money?

Run as a Financial Literacy Competition in Mathematics classes to celebrate Global Money Week, with prizes sponsored by Southern Cross Financial Planning, these are the finalists.
