The Student Leadership Program provides opportunities for students to:
- act as positive role models for fellow students
- encourage school spirit and pride
- work with the school community towards school improvement
- discuss student rights and responsibilities
- encourage and model a sense of community awareness and involvement
- be worthy representatives of the school in the broader community
Many opportunities exist at HSPA for students to develop their leadership skills, including nominating for one of the four student leadership groups:
- Primary Student Representative Council
- Primary Student Executive and School Parliament
- Secondary Student Executive
- Year 7-10 Representative Council
