Forty seven lucky Year 10 students had an amazing day at “The Voice Blind Auditions”.
As part of the live audience, we were held “captive” at Fox Studios for the duration of the taping. As audience members, we were coached in clapping and cheering to make sure we were ready to cheer for the performers and for the camera. Violet made a huge impression and was crowned “Team C” captain. For her efforts, she came home with a very stylish, red, Voice t-shirt, with the new Voice logo. We saw 13 performers, of all ages. Six of them were chosen as part of a team to progress to the next stage of the competition.
This year’s coaches looked fabulous: Boy George, Guy Sebastian, Kelly Rowland and Delta Goodrem. No wonder, they had their make-up and hair tended to after each performance. We must have looked shabby, having left school at 7.15am with our original hair and makeup done for the day!! It was a memorable experience which was enjoyed by all of us. There were so many things going on in the studio from the performers, coaches, floor crew, cameramen, lighting, band, hair, makeup, handymen – Guy’s chair got stuck and wouldn’t turn.
We all had a great day, even without our mobile phones!!!
