These students make vital contributions to staging significant regional musical and drama productions at the Hunter Theatre.
Students participate in an initial training program that introduces them to basic staging, lighting, audio and, importantly, the requirements of Workplace Health and Safety.
The programs are administrated by the Hunter Theatre Manager and teaching staff with industry recognised qualifications.
The program is organised on a volunteer basis and can lead to paid activity, enabling students to participate in a wide range of theatre work within the school or at other organised theatre sites.
Mentoring is an important aspect of the training program and qualities such as the ability to work individually and as part of a team and highly encouraged.
Interested students should contact the TAS faculty for more information.
